Full supply chain service for fitness equipment
Years ago a US based customer, decided to transfer production of their fitness equipment from the US to China. They deliver fitness equipment to several industries like medical/healthcare, sports and leisure and even e-commerce platforms like Amazon. They have different products like treadmills, incline trainers, indoor bikes, stationary bikes, ellipticals and a wide range of strength equipments.
Where in the beginning TCL was only involved in the reception, customs formalities and on-carriage of container to the EU distribution centers of their appreciated clients, the cooperation rapidly expanded to a level whereby, at the moment, TCL is practically in control of the full supply chain between China and Europe:
- Checking status of readiness with suppliers and coordinating the departure of the containers in China with the in Europe required quantities.
- Organizing ocean freight from several Chinese main – and secondary ports to the involved European ports of destination
- Space protection on board of the vessels and constant communication regarding the actual position of the containers, avoiding unexpected delays.
- Reception, import customs formalities and on-carriage of containers from the European ports of discharge.
- Where necessary stripping import containers at the TCL warehouses, storage (bonded or free), reconditioning of the goods as per request of the end-users, delivering maximal added value services to their VIP client.
